I currently do not have a gas pedal assembly and am in the market for one. Anyone use anything other than stock with success? Any aftermarket kits that will work well with the Bronco? I have looked around but no luck as of yet. Thanks.

For an efi set up using a cable? For my 78 I used a throttle assembly and cable off an E150. You would have to make a bracket because the pivot mounts on the side, but would be easy to do.

Or Lokar makes some nice pedals.

I checked Lokars website, but didn't find anything specific to the bronco. Is there another model they make that works?

Lokar is going to be generic for a Bronco. I've installed a few and they are all straight forward as far as fabrication goes. You'll want a pedal that mounts on the firewall and hangs down. Or the easiest option would be to source a stock Bronco pedal assembly?

Stock might end up being the best option. I just figured I would see what cool things everyone had come up with on here. Always seems like I find a cool idea right after I finish another piece of my project.

Here are two older pictures of the pedal when i first put them in. If you want more of how it was installed under the bronco let me know.

LOKAR / DUFF's

Be patient my friend DUFF's is working closely w/LOKAR to develope a throttle assembly for the Bronco. Rumor is Duff will have the first of these at Super Celebration. Available in brushed and black anodized!

I want SPY photos! Sounds like you might be able to get your hands on more info about these. I won't tell a soul. I promise.

When I did my backwards q-jet I used Lokar cables to control the gas/kickdown. I thought the easiest for me was to go with the Lokar pedal and lose the stock assembly.

Just make sure you drill the hole for the cable even with the top of the pedal attachment point. If you don't after time the stainless cable will eat into the inner teflon and start to bind.

Good luck with your decision.

Looks almost like you could "dimple" the floor at that point to just slightly change the angle of the outer jacket.
Or maybe just experiment with a simple extension to the pedal rod? Might be enough to do it and not have to decide whether to disconnect the cable to bend the sheet metal or not.
I know it's hard to pull something apart that works!

Or make a set of wedges like BC has with their kit. Would probably work perfect.

Why not just put in a stock assembly? They're always available on ebay. I've used cables on cars before and was never completely satisfied. It sort of reminds me of a lawn mower throttle.
