if you're going to get another later, why not just put yours aside until you're ready. at least you know what's in this one and you won't have to start over, just pick up where you left off.

I agree with 73. Once you get what all you need, then you wont have to go hunting again, and you can go right back to work on the EB.

I can't tell you how many times I've been fed up with the EB, especially lately. If you've already been working on it for the past year, you should be well on your way to a nice truck. You'll kick yourself for getting rid of it. I know, I've been on-again, off-again for a long time...

Dude i gotta agree. With the amount of time I'm sure you've put into it so far your going to kick yourself later. I left mine alone for over a year to think about how much it was annoying the crap out of me ( even tried to sell it%) ). But now I'm back with renued vigor and so happy I didn't give up, I could be driving a Jeep :-X.

Don't give up man.

I have to agree with the rest. Sometimes we just need a break, put down the tools and let it rest for a while. I've had mine for three years now and have'nt done much more than get it running. Consider it a long term project and enjoy working on it a little at a time like a hobby. Burnout can get to us once in a while.

Take a break and slow down. Dont quit If youve got a year in it, Take a break and do little pieces that you know you can complete, those are the things that let you say "I got that new fuel or brake lines done or I rebuilt the driveshafts this weekend". I take it one piece at a time, as of today I need to rebuild my Dana 30 then I can bolt that thing together.

8 months ago I built a motor still on a stand.
9 moths ago I bought a complete rebuilt C4 still in a box.
4 months ago I rebuilt my transfer
3 months ago I rebuilt my drivshafts
last week I rebuilt my rear end.
Sometime during all that Ive manged to blast and paint my frame and everthing underneath that is going to stay, my goal is running chasis by X-mas and start the new year with ALOT of bodywork and front and rear discbrakes and cosmetics. It will end up better than FORD did it! and I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! DONT QUIT!!

What you need is a break. When i was doing mine i got aggrevated, threw parts, threw tools.I worked for 2 weeks trying to get my door posts straight for my doors. My boys said i was worse than that dad on american chopper.Well i was going on vacation so i quit a week before i was to leave to have a break from it.We went to the beach. While i was gone i dreamed about the doors and it wasnt the way i had been doing it.When i got home i tried it the way i dreamed it and it fell right in place. What you need is a good break from it.I am done with it now and i love it.Think hard before you sell it.I have had them before and sold them and i regretted it.

The beautiful part about restoring / modifying a classic is it doesn't eat. You can walk away for as long as you need. Throw a cover over it, enjoy other pasttimes, spend time with the family, make a list, check out the 'net, and take your time. Unless you are tearing it down inside your living room or don't have the space. You should step back and when you are ready, try it again. What is left to do? How far / $ are you into it? Think about it, you wanted it enough to start, imagine what it will be like when you are finally done. Good luck!

believe me, i'm pissed at mine right now. i just built an engine for it and it's been snakebitten since day one. i feel uncomfortable whenever i drive it. i have $1,300.00 worth of power steering components since june 3 of last year waiting to go on. i have my disc brake setup needing installed for several months. i have roller rockers needing installed for 2 months now. i either don't have time or too tired. i've thought of selling it too, but i'd miss it too much. it's almost the way i want it, i don't want to start over. don't give up, you'll regret it.

Keep it, or you'll regret getting rid of it. I've done it 2 times already. I sold my 74 sport because it needed work that I could not afford at the time and didn't have any tools. That one had all of the goodies that I need now. Then I sold my 67 1/2 cab only to buy it back 6 years later. I kicked myself in the arse everytime ;D

I hate to look like just another guy jumping on the band wagon, but I too have thought of getting rid of my Bronco from time to time. I rarely have time or money to work on it, but when I do, I am in heaven. It will never be a show car, but I have learned more about working on vehicles from my 72 and this site than I ever imagined. Though it hasn't been started in over a year now, I brag about it and take every opportunity to drag whoever will come into my garage out to see it. I don't ever plan on getting rid of this one, because I have already made that mistake twice with other EBs I owned and regretted it for years. If it's paid for and just sitting there, it isn't costing you a thing. Keep it or regret it!

I sold mine about 8 years ago. Thats right, got rid of my EB, books, parts ...... everything. I was not going down that road again. So now i'm hunting for one to start all over.

Relax, take a deep breath and get back on it when the time comes. Beleve me, it always comes.

ya i wanna keep it so bad, but sittin outside i dont know how many wisconsin winters it can take, plus im kinda behind on the truck payment and cold use some money..so instead of me just letting it sit there and rust away to nothing, i figured i'd give someone else a chance to own an EB.
and trust me as soon as the f-150 is finally paid off, ill be back with a full head of steam......and a full wallet.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, been there repeatedly. At least you haven't given up the dream. Best of luck with whatever you do. Now about my pain in the *** EB...

I can't tell you how many time I gave up on mine. The first one I sold and later I was so bummed that I sold it. I bought another and worked on it for about a year. When I got tired of it I stoped for awhile and did something else. Once the Bronco was complete, it was sooooo worth it.

My advise to you would be, If you really want a Bronco hang in there..........
If you sell it you'll get sellers remorse...........
