I had been cleaning parts and getting ready for the big teardown this weekend of my Bronco for the EFI/Exp. Serpentine conversion, was really looking forward to the installation part.

Well, I had one of those weeks where things come in threes. 1) Ex wife issues. 2) Fell on the ice winding up in urgent care (ribs are very sore, but not cracked). 3. On the way to get some more parts from storage for the swap my Jeep Liberty decides that it is time for the oil pump to go.

Thank goodness for the Bronco as I just put a few things back on it and fired it right up. Every time I drive it I smile, life is good.

Have a great week everyone!

dependability is such a hard thing to find some times. I had an 86 f350 with 460 and c6 that just would not quit. when all else failed, that thing was ready for the job. it looked like it wouldn't make it around the block, but I can't remember the #of times that thing got fired up to rescue the bronco or someone elses rig out of a mud hole. bone stock with 33's bolted on it that seemed to fit just right. it served as my daily driver for years and even moved me from new york to florida and back hauling a trailer with the bronco and everything I owned on it. it sat for a year when I was deployed to iraq. the sitting took a toll on everything but it was still dependable. it served plow truck duty for two years after that before it got so bad I had to cut her up for scrap. I could have sold it but I couldn't stand the fact of anyone else owning it. I saved the front and rear axles and scrapped the rest. sorry i'm getting emotional but when I think dependability I think about that truck. the best I ever owned.
