I was getting ready to finalize my re-build budget and was wondering if anyone knows a good place in the Austin area for engine rebuild, paint, bodywork, media blasting, etc. Not looking to do anything fancy, just to get it looking and driving nice. Thanks.

I know of them, I was wondering if there are any local resto shops in Austin that anyone has experience with.

BC Broncos always has several Broncos at their shop either under full or partial restoration. It would be well worth a trip over from Austin and get a full tour of their shop by Chuck or Jason. I've dealt with them for several years and can confirm they do excellent work for reasonable prices.

Even if you do go to someone in Austin it will be worth your while to go tour BC's shop and let Chuck or Jason educate you a little. That way you can see if they are what you're looking for and at the very least you'll be a more savvy eb restoration customer.

BC Broncos is in Ingram, TX which is not a far drive from Austin, plus you get to drive thru the hill country. I made the short trip from San Antonio and the information I got from Chuck & Jason was well worth the trip! Plus they gave me a tour of the facility and showed me their current projects.

If you only want something in Austin, check out Jesse James' new shop, called Austin Speed Shop. I don't know anything about the place other than what I saw on TV but it looked like they were doing some good stuff.
