It's been sitting for a few years. Not sure if it's the original engine it's a 68-69 sport. I know nothing about broncos and was wondering if 3500$ is to much

From the 1 picture, $3,500 would be a great deal in today's market!

Based on the photo, it looks like it is a 69... And that is a good price to get into EB, given today's prices... Provided there is not major rust...

Seems about the asking price around here. Show him $2,500 cash and see what happens.

The thing with the early year Broncos (66-74ish) is they are going to cost you a lot more to get them up to standard.

Power steering kit $
Power brakes $
Disc brakes $

Fuel system will need attention, maybe replacing after sitting so expect costs there too.

Can you look at the underside to see how much rust is present? Does the engine turn over and maybe start? How about the tranny? Other stuff? Based on the one pic shown $3,500 isn't bad but what is hidden? You've got to know if it's a $3,500 Bronco or a $3,500 pile of useless, rusted junk.

Out here in New England, $3500 doesn't get you anything. As posters said above, could be a great deal. Just need to add up the thousands - brakes, engine?, interior and see what you come out to to see if it is a good deal in the long run.

If u have more pics send them...inside outside, under hood, under carriage. Cache k the rear frame rails near the gas tank area to see if there is rust through/holes. Do doors sag a lot or do they close easy? Front door pillars need to be checked back and front sides for rot. Looks like a good deal from the pic u posted.

In some parts of the country a non-running Bronco is still $5000, and if it runs it's much more.

It always depends on geography etc. But in Oregon that would be easily a 5k Bronco based on my observations at least. It would help to know where you are etc. but I can't see you getting hurt at $3500 anywhere in the US provided it is reasonably solid.

Rust is of course always a thing to consider, but that can be repaired.

The bigger concern is does it have a clear title?

At first glance, that looks like a deal at $3500. Top looks solid..rockers look solid..would never find a survivor that solid here in MD.

As noted, it's probably worth more than $3500 to the right person. What you have to decide is if you're the right person. A 45+ year old truck will be a big project. Expect to have thousands of dollars more into it (maybe tens of thousands if you have high goals) before you're done. If you want that kind of project, go for it!

It is really hard to tell from pics if something is worthwhile or not to buy! Based on the current prices of Broncos $3500 isn't really bad at all even if you have to fix a bunch of stuff that probably should be replaced anyway IMHO! Like the brakes especially! Like someone else said, the rockers look really solid which is a good thing. Another area to gauge a good feel on the overall rust situation of the truck is to lift up the hood and check out the fender aprons on the driver and passenger side. I don't know the exact distance but close to the firewall inner fenders are overlapped and spot welded to pieces coming off of the firewall. Usually they are rusted with holes present in most broncos. If there are little signs of rust in that area I would bet that you have a pretty solid bronco to start with and definitely worth the $3500. IMHO. The seams on the truck in the back also look like they are rust free but hard to tell! You should honestly look under the truck with a flashlight to check for rust as well. Looks pretty decent though. Where is it located? That would tell alot as well of the trucks potential! Good Luck!

I agree. I believe first year for the 302 motor.
