I started a few projects about 3 months ago mainly to install power steering. My Bronco originally had power steering but it got robbed somewhere during its life. I figured while it was down for the power steering install, I would pull the tranny and t-case for a rebuild. My friend did the rebuild and did an awesome job, very detail oriented! There are a few pictures of the tranny and t-case rebuild in my cardomain site here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3801554/1975-ford-bronco/page-3/

And since the tranny and t-case was out, I may as well put in some twin stick shifter, so I called up JB Fab and got a set of their twin sticks. They put out a great product!

I was also running on the auxillary tank since the main tank was missing when I bought it. Maybe the same person who took the power steering got the main tank. I found a main tank just across the Alabama/Georgia line. Got all new fuel lines and a new filler neck.

Nothing ever goes as planned and since I have a 3" body lift, the steering column gave me some problems. More like the shifter linkage. I had to bend the reverse/1st gear shifter rod to clear the back spark plug. I was also missing the collar that secures the steering column to the firewall and quickly found one here on the site.

Also picked up a new steering wheel off ebay. Got this one here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Mustang-Thunderbird-14-Drifter-Black-Vincly-Aluminum-Steering-Wheel-Set-/251146775856?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a7983ad30. Everything installed OK, but now I have a problem with the horn. I posted a question in the tech section about that.

One main thing I wanted to fix was my parking brake so I ordered new cables since mine were trashed. When I installed the new ones, it became apparent that the backing plates were worn so bad that the cables slipped through the holes. So now I am on the search for new backing plates. I picked up some a pullapart from a 74 F100 but they were different.

Overall, I am happy with all the upgrades and still have a few bugs to work out. I hope to snap a few pictures tomorrow. I know how everyone like pics. I couldn't have gotten it back without all the help and references here. This site rocks!

Hey that's good news Golfball.
And just in time to drive it for some Summer fun too!

Horns are a constant source of irritation here.

Those are both projects but there are some pictures in my cardomain page. The Mustang was a field car left out to pasture for 17 years. The Impala was a barn car tucked away back in '72, major project but it was free!:D
