Today Revelation ( Brian ) stopped by the house. He drove "Chipper" over so I could take a look at it. he is trying to put some miles on his bronco to find any bugs he might have. Well I looked it over and found all kinds of bugs. When he gets home he is going to have to work hard to get rid of all that mess. The truck is nice. I like the stainless and that 300. The bugs I don't like much.

Rev if you haveen't already cleaned them off just wet it down and wipe them off with a fabric softner sheet (or 50). You know the ones, like Bounce dryer sheets. They are like the Magic Eraser for love bugs.

For you non southerners those are what are known as love bugs. They come out twice a year, in late May and early Sept. They were some scientists' ill fated attempt to control the mosquito population down here in the south. Needless to say it didn't work and now we have to deal with them both. When they are in full "bloom" they are horendous!!! And if left on the paint for too long their guts will eat the paint. Otherwise they are completely harmless. Sometimes you will drive into swarms of them and within seconds the entire front of your vehicle looks worse than Rev's truck. And you don't dare turn on the windshield wipers because all that does is smear their guts all across the windshield. Love bug season SUCKS!!!

Ahhhh love Bugs, I don't miss them at all, when I lived in fla. I used to drive truck from Zephyrhills to Miami everyday and used to have to stop a few times on the trip to scrape the windshield because the wipers just spread them around, the front of the truck would be so covered you couldn't see anything but black and orange. Don't even think of smiling when riding a bike.

Well it was a little tough on the way there, A 5 mile stretch was where most of those little sex fiends met their demise by Chipper.

Smokeater, Dryer sheets are to abrasive for me, I found another little trick many years ago while working at the family full service station, ICE WATER! get the rag wet let it sit on them for a few then wipe them little buggers off.

Bax, did you happen to mention to rev that the spokes (if you wanna call them that) on his front left wheel are facing the opposite direction than the other three. I noticed this a while back but didn't wanna be the taddletail.

Yup, I had to drive to the airport up in Ft. Myers yesterday and when I got home the truck was covered with those little sex fiends. I'll take the love bugs over the snow though.
