Does it come with everything you pictured?

Here is what we have.....
Can be panel mounted, or we have a kit for shifter mounting.
Micrometer adjustment, adjustable drag, return to idle button on the middle, stainless wire and shifter mount.

Jon, I've been looking at that. You show it being connected to the gas pedal. Can it be connected to the throttle arm on either the throttle body or carb? Any advantage one way or the other? As I mentioned I have the pedal assy that has the stuff for the hand throttle. Can this be hooked there? Any experience with hooking it to the mount for the stock hand throttle?

Update:

I wound up going the budget route this time. I'm prepping for the LEBC Spring Roundup this month so trying to sew up loose ends. I used a bicycle brake lever off a kids/youth bike that I saw in a trash pile. It's a pretty decent looking little chrome lever that fits nicely (with a little bit of bushing) onto my shifter. Then went by Wal-Mart and picked up a set of replacement bike cables and used the longest one along with some fittings from the bike to set up my throttle. It's the long brake cable for rear brakes and hooked up perfectly to my lever. It is small, very flexible cable that moves freely with the carb linkage when using the accelerator pedal (no length of chain needed). I'll shoot a couple pics this evening and show them. About $9.00 invested including the little cable clamp needed on the end.;D

Steve,

I connected a simple bicycle brake lever to the gas pedal / factory hand throttle prior to the stampede this year. This has helped me with control since I went to the ZF5. The price was right at $10 bucks.

As you, I'm running the Ford EFI. This set-up works well, but has a slower throttel response time than I'm used too.

I had to learned how to anticipate throttle timing a little bit more. But, I definitely have more control in the slower technical wheeling by using it.

I have keys in hand if you want to try it first. Just let me know.

I bought and installed one from JB Fab at the last Unevent bronco gathering and it works great. I used to run the bicycle lever style which worked fine but the JB set up dials in smoothly to get the perfect rpm you need.

This is my set-up. The knob could be mounted anywhere. I picked this cable at a garage sale. Just pull and twist to hold.

Im working on this same thing as we speek. I pirated a front brake lever off the girls bikes (should have taken the rear as that would keep them from doing skiddys, and burning the rubber off the tire!) got a cable clamp, ball chain, and connectore from local hardware store.

Sam, Thanks for the info and for the offer. I think I'm going to try your solution first. Seems the simplest and the least investment of time and finances! Then maybe, at some point, I might try one of the other options.

Good to hear you mounted it to the hand throttle connection on the gas pedal. I was trying to determine which connetion point (pedal or throttle body) would give me better control.

Im liking the idea of a hand throttle but also need a control for my low idle. Im gona head to the bike shop for two of these adjustment srews commonly used on bikes now a days (pic 1). I will weld two bungs on my t-case lever and use two barrel adjusters. By adjusting either of the barrels you can tighten and loosten the cable sleve and thus provide low idle throttle adjustment from the drivers seat as well as have the brake lever for instant throttle.

After a trip to the local bike shop and one to the hardware store, this is everything i think i need to do a hand throttle with low idle adjustments (pic 2)

Yes, ours comes with everything pictured.
The stainless steel shifter mount is an additional $12.

The one shown is connected to the pedal, but they are long enough to be connected to the carb/EFI.
