The discharge hoses that came with my kit were all plastic. Maybe a hair dryer doesn't supply enough heat. I may have used an old electric heat gun. I stretched the end of the hoses enough so they would fit over the oval ends of the vents.

I added maybe another 1/2" to 1" to the supplied spacer on the passenger side mount of the heater box. The extra spacer actually brings the driver side of the unit closer to the firewall in the center. As they supplied it the heater box hits on the corner of the hump and kicks the drivers end of the heater box closer to the dash probably making the unit too close to the vents. Without the extra spacer I don't think I would have had room for a radio.

I think I hooked up the hoses and then mounted the vents on the dash.

The original V A kit didn't offer the solenoid operated controls. I think Chuck may have requested the new style controls for his unit.

It has been a couple of years since I installed my unit.
