Digging into the ranger a little more. Noticed a lot more rust damage on it than originally thought. Drip rail is gone on all four corners. Really bad spot on the inside over passenger door. How much of this is worth repairing or can be repaired. Any thoughts. It seems pretty hard to find a good used top to replace mine with. Had one guy tell me he used to cut the drip rails off his old race cars, fill with weld and grind smooth. Anyone tried this on EB? Can't figure how that would work with the lift gate.

My top has a perfect lift gate with newer shock type supports. All the glass is perfect. Has on crack over the passenger seat I just found. Guess thats what rotted over the door.

take some pictures of the areas so we can get a better idea of the extent of the rust then we can tell you if it can be saved or should be scrapped.

3 Choices, Fix/Rebuild what you have, Order a Replacement Roof "Lid", or find another top. ME? I would just rebuild what's there.
