I have a new aftermarket hardtop and getting ready to fit the liftgate. I have the liftgate shock kit from WH but there are no holes in the hardtop for the lower brackets. Anyone have measurements that will help me identify where to drill the holes? Thanks.

I have an original top. I used nutcerts in the top for the strut mount holes. Here are some measurments from mine. Let me know if I can provide anything else.

Also, I noticed you do not have the second bracket on the liftgate latch. Hopefully you plan on installing one. The metal latch will hit the front edge of the top and scratch the paint unless you have it installed under the ss latch plate in your picture. you can see it here (black) in my pic mounterd in behind the latch.

I have not even thought about that. Did you make yours or do the Bronco stores have them available?

Here is why you need it. It goes behind the latch mount on each side post and slightly wraps the corner so that the striker does not hit body paint during closure.

I appreciate you saving me the headache of chipping my paint. I had definitely not thought about this.
