I ordered my Hedman headers # 89410 from Jethot Thursday and have since been considering header bolts and gaskets. I want to go with the best and have pretty much decided on

Breslin Split Locks

And Percy's Dead Soft Aluminum gaskets

I know a lot of folks run Stage 8's and copper, even regular header bolts and the gaskets that come with the headers right out of the box. So I'm wondering what you guys think is the best combination and most worth the money. I especially want to know if anyone has ever had any problems with these products I have pretty much decided on, as I have never used either.

Thanks

%) %) %) I havent seen bolts like that befor. What I use is allen typ with a nylon plug in it they work very good. This set of headers was put on in 86 and still no leaks. I use the gaskits that come with the headers. Make them damp and I sand tha face of the header when putting them on. When you get them on tighten and run motor till hot and torque them let cool and do it one more time and you should be good to go works for me. 2 broncos and 2 mustangs no leaks. Good luck.   Bill :p  %)

I tried using the Stage 8 header bolts with a set of Hookers on a 351, impossible to get tightened. I wound up using the bolts that came with the headers. I used the Hooker gasket also. No problems with either so far.
