I have a 67 bronco, 302, and a mean green alt. My headlights went out, and they worked last night. I know the lights are good, and no bad fuses?????
I noticed the alt gauge needle moves irraticly, til i give it some rpms, then it mellows out and needle stays steadly charged.

I fix one thing, the next day i have something else to fix!!! Got to love it
Thank you!!!

Either dimmer switch on the floor or the headlight switch itself. Dimmer switch is much cheaper to replace. $10 vs. $50

Check to see if you're getting power to the bulbs. A couple of months back, both of mine went out simultaneously. Come to find out, both bulbs burned out at the exact same time.
