Since i have my fenders off and the engine bay stripped i am thinking if i want to do something with the heater intake now is the time. Are people relocating the cold air intake, is there a better aftermarket design i should look at? Seems like there should be a better way. When i pulled mine apart it was packed full of pine needles.

There has to be a better way, please let me know.

Thanks.

I took out my fresh air, and heater air intake. Made a leveler to take the ramping out of the passenger side. Then put sheet metal over that. I am going to put a cover/vent in the wheel well. Haven't figured out the design of the vent yet, but figure it will look something like an upside down dryer vent without the door and some kind of filter.

There is not a better way. Mine has a screen set on top of the plastic to keep crap out of there. Some guys eliminate the intake and just suck in cab air. That should work fine but have heard that it makes the cab more humid and fogs up the windows. I dont see the need to do anything to the stock design except maybe add a screen to both sides to keep crap out.
