Heater core clip question(help)

Hay i'm doin the heater box rebuild and The core clip poped out and I did not see where it came from? It's about 3 in. long and 1/4in. wide.I cannot figure out where to put it back.Help please.

i saw one in mine when i tore it apart but i have not actually seen that clip on any schematics before. id be courious as to where it goes to. Hopefully someone can get you a picture.

Yup...now i know where it goes also. I dont think thats where it was when i took mine apart even. Im doing a box rebuild soon also. How did the other stuff go together for ya? Did you get the rebuild kit...http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-17252-heater-seal-kit-66-77.html

Are you also doing the upgraded heater motor and cage?

ya im gona do it cause in minnesota its cold like 10 months out of the year. The napa motor (655-1039) is only 21.49 and the napa cage (655-1406) is only 14.69. Thats sounds cheeper than a snowmobile suit!

dont worry about the cage, the original cage works just fine. Here in Kansas it works great, and its 70 today, spose to snow saturday!!! I did the rebuild in december with a new heater core and it works great. Its amazing how much difference the motor makes!
