I have been pulling the dash in my 77 bronco this afternoon, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the temperature control cable that goes from the in-dash knob to the valve in the engine compartment. I can't get the defrost or heater motor on-off cables off either but they are not that big of a deal to me because I pulled the heater box off the firewall to rebuild anyway, but that ***cking temp valve cable is about to get cut off if I can't figure it out soon!

You have to disconnect it under the hood and pull it through the firewall, disconnect the other 2 from the heater box. After you pull the dash, loosen the set screws on the back side and it will slide out.
