Help identify carb?

I believe that is the stock/original carb. May be a 2150 but the numbers match for a '73 part. Early 2100's didn't really have any emissions stuff on them. The later 2100/2150's did.

Also that bronco looks to have an EGR and idle solenoid. Does it have an air pump on the front of the engine? A lot of the western vehicles got the emissions packages. There was an oddball '73 emissions setup. Looks like you may have it. Is there a sensor attached to the drivers door post?

no sensor on doorpost. this truck was sold and lived its life in New Mexico. I dont know what an air pump looks like

there does not seem to be "emissions" features but rather just vacuum advance type stuff for just running correct mixtures

Its a 2100 carb. The 2150 didnt come out till later on like 74 up. There are only minor differances between the two and most carb kits cover both of them.

Im pretty sure the BE refers to some type of revision probably no way are knowing for sure what they are. Looks like most of the 2100 carbs I have sitting in my shed. a 2150 has the choke pull off on the rear of the carb on the choke housing side. Ive only seen a few 2100 like that.

A air pump is a belt driven pump that usually feeds air to the exhuast ports on the engine.

And you're lucky to still have that little tag on there too! Not many got left on after the first time someone messed with the carb. Though I never quite understood the resistance to keeping particular info for an item, like the tags on axles and carburetors.

And one of the other easily identifiable emissions things would have been a bowl vent on the top of the float bowl that would have been plumbed into the EVAP system.
Yours might simply have been an early '73 model (what month was it built in?) or not have had it in New Mexico.

Perhaps that "BE" designation is not listed because it's not important to the carb kits, or because it was something a bit rare like a high-altitude calibration.

Do you have any other clues to it's bits and pieces, like:

1. Does the fuel tank selector valve have 3 ports, or 6?
2. Do the fuel tank sending units have 2 ports, or 1?
3. Does your dashboard have the light-bars under the controls?
4. Is your transfer case the J-shift type, or the T-shift type?

What's your VIN number? Do the final numbers have a "P" ahead of them?
Just curious. Viperwolf1 started a thread to document the little changes between the '72 and '73 model years. Perhaps yours was an early '73 and, being from New Mexico, might have had some different details.

Your door pillar decal (if it's still there) would show the month the truck was built too.

well, if all that stuff is just tore off, how does the engineering of the combustion system keep working properly? Is the choke the only thing I have to worry about? How does the mixture run true under different loads, speeds, altitudes, or temperatures?

The number and nature of your questions lead me to believe you need a shop manual. Bronco Graveyard has them on CDs for $35.

well donk, it's a j shift; has lit up control names under the dash control knobs; its a U15 made at the Michigan truck plant in December of 1972 as in U15GLQ82864. I don't know about the fuel tank ports. The main tank has been tore off and i'm just running on the small 7 gallon aux tank in the rear

so I would call it an early 73 model (since it was made in '72 heh?)
