The original owner of my ‘74 took the original small mirrors off and put the large tow mirrors on the doors. I ABSOLUTELY HATE those mirrors. Problem is if I take them off I will have 4 screw holes in each door and my bronco is excellent shape original paint. Is there any way to patch these holes and match some touch up paint for the holes. Any way to fill the holes from the inside of the door? The mirrors are the biggest thing I can’t stand about my bronco

How about through bolt a short polished stainless steel machine screw to fill the holes?
If you used body filler it might crack out after it dries or leave a little dimple in the paint. With original 44 year old paint and new touch up paint, it might stand out more than blend in.
But for sure ditch the mirrors :)

As much as I hate the mirrors there isn’t a previous mirror hole on the passenger bc it never came with a passenger small mirror. So right now I only have one hole basically where the old mirror went or remove the tow mirrors and now have 8 holes and in the face of the door instead of only one right now. So it’s gonna be a huge eye sore to me with holes in both doors now. Damn I’m in a bad spot

Those bolt anchors are the pits..............it's still better than having those mirrors on there.

that definitely puts you in a tough spot - either look at the ugly mirrors, or look at ugly holes....not making light of your situation, but maybe you can put an emblem over the holes?....

I don't like mine either. They're like Dumbo's ears.

I had a similar challenge with a previous vehicle. If you're pretty handy with a paint gun, patching and fixing it right isn't that hard on something that small, just time consuming (it's all in the prep).
But, assuming you're looking for the quick fix (which I was), you can always use some plastic or rubber pushpin style plugs (the ones that hold inner fender wells and interior plastic together in most new cars) to fill the holes. Leave 'em black or rattle can them to paint match. Throw some silicon or rtv on them if you're concerned about having a super watertight fit. It's not ideal, but gets the job done quick and easy. I did this on an old black truck and it turned out pretty clean.
You could also do as someone else suggested and put some button head bolts in the holes.

You can get real close with the paint I fixed what I assume was a whiskey dent or wheeling accident with my passenger mirror on my 72 when I got it they had kinda fixed it than just left it in grey primer and it stood out more than I liked.. I think it turned out ok

Wow how did you get that blend?? Looks amazing in the pics. I assume that is original paint not base/clear?

I have done a couple, close match paint and slowly added paint to hole closed it up more. Then floated paint across all most like a bubble then built on it. Hard to see at 2 feet away.

The other times I got a very small flat plastic plug, inserted in hole and then painted it.

Trappy-what color is your bronco?

It’s the same color as the Pic Bronco4 attached a few comments ago

I’m not sure exactly the name. I’ve got some of the original paperwork so I may can find it on there somewhere or if anybody can find it off my VIN
