have you guys had any alignment issues with the three bolts that connect the hood latch support to the core support? I bought a new grill and the grill side is spot welded and appears to be about 5/8" off to the drivers side.

Finally got the cowls, fender aprons, fenders and core support re-worked and squared up and now looks like this support needs to be moved to get the grill to align and bolt to the fenders.

Wish they would just sell all the panels with nothing welded in place. Would cut the fab time in half.

I had some flexibility with the holes in core support allowing me to move around the clip nuts, but not 5/8. I would line up the fenders, and then make sure the spring latch lines up, then enlarge the holes on the core support to move the clip nuts over. If the spring latch doesn't line up it was welded wrong. Drill out the spot welds and re-do it.

thx for the reply!
Tomorrows goal is getting the hood on to see where everything lines up.
Not a rant...……..just frustrated with the amount of re-work.

Fingers crossed!

x2 What AZ said, plus your hood hinges have elongated bolt holes in them which allow you to move your hood left or right. Your latch looks like a repop? All these parts especially the hood, grill and fenders need some massaging and persuasion to get them to fit right!
