If you buy the hood from the source, Dennis Carpenter has a hood for $319. Shipping appears to be $150, or at least that's what is shows when I add it to my cart.

You might look for a vendor that is closest to you and see if it's cheaper to pick it up yourself. I bought a hood, soft top and doors, roll cage kit, and roadster inserts from K bar S (1989 IIRC). We drove my wife's little economy pickup to Las Vegas from the Boise area and it was about half of the cost of shipping all those parts to us. My wife won a small jackpot on a slot machine that paid for our hotel room!
