We have been several years as spectators. It is a great show. I don't think we'll make it up this year. The mfg year has been raised to 1976 & before, so hopefully there will be more EBs in it. Have fun & please share some pics with those of us who are less fortunate.

We saw a great McGyver moment one year. This guy was at the fountain...

And a night shot of a tiny portion of one of the several venues. Thousands of vehicles in the show, plus the town is full of others not actually in the show. It is truly amazing. More pics here.

It's just over the hill for me, but we gave up on going to Hot August Nights about 7 years ago. It's madness now and I'm not really into crowds like that.
We spent New Years in Reno about 15 years ago and would never do it again! CRAZY!

Just having a place to stay that doesn't kill $250 a night out of your budget helps. And... eating off the beaten path.
The Custom Gunshop I did did machine work for, JRH Advanced Gunsmithing, just moved outta California to Sparks. SO I should have a place to stay next year. Maybe I'll join you next year.

I lived in Reno for 11 months back in 1999/2000. Absolutely hated it. Just my luck, I was there from September through July - the one month I wanted to be there for Hot August Nights and I was gone by then.
