Tonight we were on our way home from dinner in the bronco and we could smell something hot. When we got home I stuck my head near the rear wheel well and I could feel alot of heat. Ended up being the rear drums were extremely hot . I am not much of a gearhead, so if this sounds trivial please excuse me. I figure the brakes are hanging up. But before I tear it apart can anyone narrow it down to why they would be hanging up and the remedy. Thanks much, I appreciate any help,Jason.

Hey, at least you caught it before you started tearing things apart and replacing things!

Well, dont feel bad, if the rear brake shoes are bonded type, they can unbond, spin around and lodge against the other shoe and drum....usually only happens to one side though, just some thing to watch put for.
