itsabronco, the floor pan order was 11-07-11, that's almost 5 mos ago. I know sometimes it takes a while to get around to installing parts and maybe the facts got a little muddled over time. This is what I was able to learn. You talked to Adam after you received the pans thinking you had the wrong part. After talking with Adam you and he decided that you got what you ordered and what you wanted. He does not recall talking about you paying return shipping. Also the shipping to you was $25, as we are a business the return shipping should be less so $30 is out of line. At any rate, if you still want to return them I will pay the return shipping just because you think you got the wrong part, and maybe you did. I would have done this if you had just called.

People simply want what they pay for, the first time. Yes I know that it does not always work like that. Ive been turning wrenches and buying parts for years. Its aggravating when you get something else other than what you expect, and then, have to spend more time and money to "try" to send it back. Thats all im saying...

I agree with all you typed here. I was thinking about this and to save you the bother of boxing them up you could take them by Kens place (very close to you) and drop them off and I can refund you money or send new ones.
I thought that you and Adam had decided that you got the right parts.

I have had only 1 issue with 1 Vendor. They fail to notify you when something is on back order and do not ship anything until they ship everything.
Have ordered from all of them, without issue other than the 1 vendor in Mich.
On my last order from Chuck, I payed for overnight, even when they try to talk me out of it, Got the part and it was installed before the sun went down next day!

Trying to make fellow Bronco owners beware of BS.. Who gives a rip if it takes 5 days or a year to install a part. it should be what you are lead to believe you ordered and PAYED FOR. Especially if an order is Phoned in and you specify exactly what you want, and you are put on hold so the rep on the other end of the line looks it up in the vendor parts book.

I could almost care less about a floor pan but, its the principle behind it. GETTIN WRONG STUFF.
how many people on here have ordered an LUK clutch kit and have gotten a Centric ?????????????? Speak up..... Quit advertising a good thing and selling pure junk and rippin people off. Advertise what you ship to people. quitntaking advantage of people that dont know the difference. BE HONEST. Who wants to order something and "send it back".

Recieved another PM from a Bronco friend that ordered a LUK clutch kit. Can you guess what he got?????????? can you guess what vendor response was ? "Feel free to send it back" Quit making ignorant excuses and true up your product.

Its called "QC" Quality Control.......................................................

OK , gottcha' now. You're making a public service announcement.
My brain put a different twist on it ... sorry.

Seems like the world is going to hell in a hand basket here lately.
I've had recurring issues with other long trusted service providers AND material providers here lately also (non-Bronco related).

If you've been dealing with them for decades , you know that a mistake happens from time to time , and that's cool. But one shop I deal with has not been able to get the most simple service correct several times now ...frustrating as hell.
I hate being on that threshold of having to dump a trusted provider and find another competent shop or hope they get it right .... this time.

Judging by the issues Chuck has had with his contractors , he seems to be in the same boat also.

I hope this can end well for both of you.

It has alot to do with vendor and manufacturer/distributor relationship.

If the vendor has a good reputation with their manufacturers or supply house's they deal with many of these issues are eliminated.

Pretty much all of the manufacturers we deal with (not automotive) and purchase from will indicate to us any changes in product line, delivery or price changes. If a specific brand is not available and an equivelent is available we MUST submit to the customer for approval. I know this changes per industry and may be abit more difficult in the automotive field but for the most part a good vendor usually has these bases covered.

We deal with a lot of venders, some let us know if there is any change in price or brand when they find out. Others let us know of changes when we order but a few just ship and send us the bill. Centric was one of the few that ship then bill but it's always been price changes. The bill for the clutches came after they came in. The bill had the same part number and price as the LUK clutches from the mo. before. I got a call about this and told the caller that they were LUK in a diff. box, as I was told the mo. before. When I went out and got one off the shalf to explain where it said LUK the clutch in my hand said CHINA, wasn't that you I was talking to ITSABRONCO? If not it was one of the other 2 china clutches that went out. When I found out I stopped selling them as LUK. I sell the CHINA clutches but not as LUK and for a lot less $. If your"friend" has a CHINA clutch have him call and I will either take it back or credit him the diff., that is all I can do after the fact. By the way, are you going to return the floor pans?

LOL , Chuck ought to start his own vendor bashing thread!

Off the top of my head :
1: the recent clutch fiasco
2. Header manufacturer changes the design just a bit and put some BC's customers in a bind.
3. Fuel tank sending unit provider changed something with the float arm , a lot of older tanks read empty with 8+ gallons left in a 24 gal. tank.

Should I mention other Bronco vendors reverse engineering his stuff?
I'm afraid to ask about the "Sherman tank" ....

There are lots of others but #3 is not the provider of the sending units fault. All the aftermarket tank senders are linear but the EB gauges are not. I think ford made them that way for parallax. But that is just a guess that explains the gauge and the way the sender is made. Anyway, no one except ford makes the sender non linear. I have approved mine to be made and am waiting for the shipment now. As some of you know it's been over a year. But shortly I should have the only accurate aftermarket sender. It's a deal but now that big of one as all the aftermarket vendors have been selling the linear units for years and they work fine with the aftermarket gauges.
It seem that no matter how long I deal with a vendor and how often they do it right ,the first time I don't check they change something they don't think matters that does a lot.

Well, we just got a shipment of Centric clutches in. Centric box, same part number but inside LUK, see picture, they did not tell me there was going to be a change. I don't know what is going on, they did not tell me they were changing back to LUK and I have not gotten a bill yet so don't know if they changed the price either. Centric may have listened to me or this might be a mistake this time or last time or whatever. The Centric clutches are LUK at least for this order.
