I am posting this for a friend that wants to sell this 9" rear and I thought you guys may know how much it's worth or if anyone would be interested in it. Here are the specs from him

It’s a 1979 9” rear disk out of a Lincoln Versailles. They are “big bearing” rears, 28-spline axles, but are not posi-units and have really tall gears (of the 2.75 variety). My dad originally bought the rear end because they are so narrow, 58” from disk to disk. He said a lot of people like them for Broncos because Ford never made another 9” disk so narrow. I’m wanting to get rid of it because they’re really hard to find brake replacement parts for and I would want a 31 spline, limited slip differential. About 5 years ago, I saw Versailles rears at swap meets for around $500, but I have no idea how much one would go for that needs new calipers, rotors, pads, bearings, etc.

thanks a bunch

I paid $200 for a stock EB 9" with big bearing ends, limited slip, 4.11's, 28 spline axles and drums. I would think that's about the going rate (or I just got a good deal)

I bought one for $500 but that was 10 years ago to put in a 64 Falcon, but never did . So I used the brakes on my Bronco last fall.
What parts are hard to find? I bought new calipers pads and bearings at NAPA. Rotors for a Ford 1/2 ton, but had to sand down the pads as the rotors are a little on the fat side. You can also try LIncoln Land @ 1-888-546-2727 in Florida.
The whole rear is no good for a Bronco but the hot rodders still like them, even the tall gears. $.02
