How much trans fluid?

I just got my C4 back in after the R&R. How much fluid am I gonna need? I already put one in the converter.

You got me looking for my manual and realizing it's misplaced. Somebody answer this question while I go jump in the White River for refreshment and attitude adjustment

I just got mine back from the shop too. According to the Chilton manual the C4 holds from 17.5 to 26.8 pints, depending on the year. The guy at the tranny shop said to put in about half the fluid, start the engine and immediatly shut it down. Then fill it up using the dip stick.
