can always build cribbing out of 2x4's with 2x6's on the top. i have a set mike (ScrapperMV) helped me build, work great. they're about 10" high and 14" square on the base. set the jack stands on top of them and they won't even sink in the dirt. more than tall enough to install a 3.5" lift.

let me know if you want pics.

I did a 2.5" lift and used 6 ton stands also. I had to build wooden platforms for the two jack stands holding the frame up. then used another two jack stands to support the front diff.

Make sure you have plenty of beer.

Head down to lowes-home depot.
For a few bucks pick up a 6x8x12 have them cut it up for into 14" pieces these will come in handy for all sorts of things.
