How to make twin sticks?

I have a D20 J pattern and the shifter is hooped. Has anyone made homemade twin sticks? Got any pics?

Well I just like doing homemade parts for the Bronco. Give you that sence of.......I built it,I did not buy it.

I built my twin sticks out of two half ton shifters from the junkyard. You just shave the two main pivot points on the shifters narrower so they will both fit on one of the bolts that hold them to the transmission. Then you bolt a piece of pipe to each plunger on the t case. Then connect the bottom of the shifters to the plungers with some kind of pivot points such as turnbuckles like most people use for windshield braces. (I used tie rod assemblies from a junk snowmobile) We had all the parts lying around from previous projects so my twin stick project was completely free.

Hmm. I will have to see what I can do. I have to do a 435 swap this weekend.

Got the NP-435 installed and the transfercase shifter is in the way.

Looks very simple to do. What do you guys use in between the sticks so as they do not bind?
