I have an old rubber type freeze plug, the type that has threaded nut. I need to remove it since it is leaking, but when I try to back the nut off the plug just turns. Any idea how to get it out? %)

Thanks!

An air ratchet or impact hammer would spin fast enough to break it loose. Also soak the nut with a penetrateing lube and try again. I guess you could try to wedge the plug in place by jamming a flat head screw driver along the side...but that may damage the block surface. Just some ideas...
