How to set Explorer EDIS timing?

I am going to be converting a 92 mustang efi to Explorer EDIS efi due to a 4r70w swap and wanting one harness and computer to run it. I was wondering how you set the timing on it. I know it does not have a rotor and cap and am assuming you stab the distributor any way and the crank sensor sets it?

There is a special tool that holds the cam sensor in place while you install it. You install it with the engine at TDC of the compression stroke. Timing isn't 100% critical as it only tells the PCM if the engine is on the compression stroke or not.

You can buy the tool for around $30 at most auto part stores. Or many people have had success just eyeballing a picture of my master set. Top row center should be 96-98. Bottom row left should be 99-01.
