Doing brakes on a dana 30 do I need the specialty hub socket or can I just get a 36mm socket and do the job? I'm asking only because I would need to order the special socket and I have all day tomorrow to work on it.....:-X

X2

Most every parts store (even the not so good ones) has this in stock. The nicer ones have a ring around the 4 teeth.

36mm socket is an odd choice. The nuts don't have flats for it to work. Also it is metric, these trucks were made before american car makers tried dabling in that metric system.
