Hub socket, which size?

Just hung up with Napa looking for a Hub socket to remove the front axles. They don't have them listed by Dana 44, only by sizes.

Is the Hub socket for a 1980 F-150 with Dana 44 the correct size that I need for the 74 EB with Dana 44?

I just went to auto zone to pick one up. Not sure on the size. It was the only one they had. It seemed like it did not fit like it should on the hub nuts so I just took my grinder and grinded the little notches until it fit on them good.

There is another one that has a band around the 4 prongs that is much easier to keep centered on the nut. If you can find it it is much better.

I have both and definitely prefer the one with the ring.

Found the one with the band at a local auto parts store. Should have tried the first.
