Considering what coverage I've seen of Rocksport and Houston, I am considering myself lucky. So far only some flooded streets for me in Orange. Next couple of days may change that though with the new path of Harvey.

I guess it could always be worst right.. :(

My family and I are all good. We are in Katy, West Houston and Central Houston. This is the worst I have seen it in my 35 years in Houston.

I have a granddaughter and her family that live in Katy. Her husband and brother spent the day in a boat helping others. Their street has knee deep water but none in the house.

Temporary name change from the "Other Woman" to the "Aqua Assault Vehicle"! We were good in Pearland so the wifey (hurricane Katrina survivor) went to Costco for dog fud, cat fud, clothes and supplies to donate over in Friendswood, a part of Houston that was hit hard. Tried to make it in my pickup on Sunday and couldn't get to the shelter. Wasn't taking any chances yesterday, so we loaded up the Bronco and headed out.

You gotta love a good woman and great machine! Stay safe, Houstonians, and it's going to be a long September as we help our brethren rebuild. Cheers, B2

Watching out the front door hoping water doesn't reach the house. Very close to getting into garage. 4 or 5 inches after that and it will start coming in. Keeping fingers crossed.

Hoping everyone stays safe that is being impacted by this weather event in SETX.

Well, won't be long and I'll have an indoor swimming pool. Everything up as high as I can get it. Don't know what to do now. Can't get out. Think water in street is to deep even for Bronco. Praying the rain stops soon.

Crested at about 2.5 feet in the house, and about 4.5 in the houses across the street. Lots of people have it a lot worse though.

At least 3 feet in house. Up to the floorboard of the Bronco when I left on the boat. Hope everyone else affected in SETX are at least safe.

Sorry to hear Fitz. I've got some okie friends that went down and are on horseback NW of Houston now gathering up stranded cattle and other livestock. He said it's incredible, animals in trees everywhere, wads of fire ants the size of pickups floating around.
