I'm wondering if you can run hard lines for high and low pressure, to and from the pump to the booster. I know you dont need the high pressure hose for the return, but do you need the high pressure hoses or can you run hard lines (steel)?? My set consists of a booster from a '97 F350, master cylinder out of a dodge, steering pump with duel return out of a mid '70 ford wagon, bracket out of a ford van modified to swing away from the top of the steering box. Any help is appreciated!

You will need rubber or braided ends on the pump end of the lines to account for the engine movement but there shouldn't be any problems with hard lines. I am considering the same thing when I get to that point.

I believe Jon used the hard lines on this Tech article.http://classicbroncos.com/tech/hydroboost-brakes....But I agree with turbotim, I would think it's a good idea for at least some rubber.

I used the stock Astrovan line from the Hboost to the pump and used the stock Bronco line from the box to the Hboost, connected them with a compression fitting.

If you have a Fastenal near you check with them for a local shop who can make lines for you using your old hose ends. I had a local shop make both my high pressure hoses with an end I could swivel to get them just right before I tightened them up. Best $60 I spent on that project.
