Why -8? Most PS systems will work fine on -6, but there are instances where -8 is called for. You'll have a lot easier time finding the adapters for -6.

Because I already had lions made, and they used 8 I didn’t know any different so I went with what they recommended.

I’ve read the smaller one is 5/8 and then I’ve read it at 16 mm on the super duty Hydro boost. Does anybody know?

16mm and 18mm are what the two fittings that I have waiting to go into a CUCV H-B unit measure. They are std. late GM PS box and pump "O-ring Bump" steel adapter fittings. The same fittings are what I have in the Vanco supplied H-B unit on Snowball and the Junkyard supplied Chevy Express Van H-B unit on the Wagon. Can find the adapter fittings in aluminum, but I don't use aluminum fittings on high pressure PS lines.

The fittings in the hydroboost are 16mm x 1.5 and 18mm x 1.5 o-ring bump- as @ntsqd notes above. The adapters are available at a zillion different places.
