I've read that real PSF has a different additive package than either ATF or Tractor Hyd Fluid which some on the interwebs advocate using instead of PSF. This is something that I don't need to experiment with, I'll run what's recommended and move on to getting my reservoir working correctly instead.

ly the 4 sharp 90's increase the pressure drop and reduce the flow.

Well and interestingly, with Lees custom pump they want you to use their fluid. I asked and they said not to use ATF cause it tends to cavitate more but not the synthetic. I know this one I’m using is supposed to not.
Somewhere on this site while I was working on plumbing a new system and looking at Lee's products, I read that they told someone to use the Delco fluid if they couldn't use their special fluid. That's what I ended up using... Delco.

Lee's "special" fluid they push on us now is a relatively recent development in their product offerings. In the decades that I was familiar with them prior to the introduction of their own stuff, it was always "use the GM power steering fluid". That's what Hydratech (hydroboost vendor) has historically recommended as well.

Besides Amazon, I have 2 Chevy dealers between my work and home where I can stop and buy it if I need it. That's convenient as far as I'm concerned.
