Howdy all. So with the ever earlier loss of sunlight these days I can't get into too much after work so I've been dinking around with small stuff. Tonight I was looking at firewall and how to mount astro hydroboost. Looks like the big hole in firewall is offset south of the bolts that hold pedal assy to firewall. What are some working methods to mount the booster? Stock hydroboost plate had bolt pattern mostly centered around centerline of the housing. I have 351w, exploder EFI and need to have room for ZF MC. Pics of solutions would be appreciated. Already planning to clock the unit 90 clockwise so N2 housing is at 12 o'clock

Thx

Hank

I made mine out of aluminum, but it looks a lot like this one. I had it powdercoated and then didn't use it.

Badmustang this is the bracket 72_EB used when I had him do my hydro boost 4 wheel disc conversion. The product (third pic shown) is a pretty slick design. The end result is ok for a trail rig/ daily driver. The execution is a little crude. The welds and bends leave a bit to be desired. The maker clearly could improve this product with a laser table, straight edge, and a better welder. If you had a show rig, I would hesitate at using this product, and go with the Vanco unit.
Personally, the unit is great for my needs. I took it apart, posished and greased the shaft (which loosened it up a ton), and John installed it. Works great.

The offset bracket leaves no room for the OP's ZF5 hydraulic master cylinder.

I'm not sure if the other angle brackets leave room for the hydraulic master cylinder either.
