Out of curiosity how hard is it to come across the 78-79 front axles? Ya know its kinda funny ive always heard the horror stories of the ttb front end but when we had our 82 we never had a problem with it...

It's not really a problem until you try to lift it. Then it's really hard to keep aligned. But the "Go Fast" guys love the TTB and they do a cut & turn to get some pretty high lift and wheel travel (and help the alignment). If I had an 80-96 though I would do an SAS either with a 44 or a 60 depending on how big of tires I wanted to run.

I did some research on it a while back and only real issue with the sas swap i found was the ttb cross member. Shouldnt be that difficult to fix.
