So I found a bronco with the following:

Guy says he has the panels for the interior and he removed the carpet because it was wet. Original paint can be seen on the floor as well.

How much should I pay for this rig?

76 stock uncut Ford Bronco hard top and doors.
302 motor with C 4 auto trans. colum shifter.
4x4 four wheel drive
Power disc brakes
Power steering
After market A C not installed
Stock tires wheels and hub caps & new tires and weels
Rust free (minor rust on original paint so needs to be painted)
Stock seats have tears (needs to be redone)

Based on those two pics I would say 3,550-4,500 How much is the guy asking for it? If more than 4,500 I would say look at the bronco sprvd1 has for sale it's very nice and a steel if you ask me!

I wouldn't go above 4k on that one personally. Too much rust and work needed to make it worth much more imo.

I agree with not going over 4,000 in the midwest but I'm not sure how much they are going for on the west coast!

Just talk to him and if he seems like he's willing to lower his price then make him an offer if you feel like it's in your range. I'd go check it out in person first if possible and look it over extremely well to see if there is any hidden rust and or things that need to be fixed before you do make an offer.

Looks clean to me-

  • Original paint (you know what you're getting)
  • Uncut
  • Auto.
  • Pwr. Steering
  • Disk Brakes
I'd pay $5500+/- in Minnesota.

If you're looking for a driver, it looks to be a great find-

Do you wanna leave it uncut, get it running, and just drive it? Or are you looking for something to lift, cut, and restore/modify? If you're the latter of the two I'd look elsewhere. You're gonna pay more for a unmolested stocker than you would something that someone has done some modifications to. If you wanna mod it, try to find one with a decent body for less money so you'll have more money to spend doing mods. Just my $0.02

The body looks good. If just surface rust and no holes in the panels I would go $5500.00. You will add up money spent quickly on body panels and body work. I would pay more for a nice body (especially now that I am fixing the rust on my bronco).

Good luck,

Henry

I think it depends on what you want to build, and ultimately what you want to spend. If you want one fairly stock I would pay $4-$4,500 for that easy. If you want it lifted, and with decent sized tires, you are looking at another $3k, and there are plenty already built in that price range from people on this site. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

i see evidence of rust and plenty of it. just got done with the body on a beast of slightly worse cancer, and i can tell you that once you dive into repairing you will quickly feel ripped off no matter what you pay. i wouldnt give over 3000 for it, and i would only go that high due to the brakes and steering. being in the northwest, i bet the rust is worse than pictures can tell... if it were me i would keep looking, and consider searching in california or nevada to find a good rust free rig. if your budget is in the range of 6700, you can find a sweet rig at that price...

This guy is the second owner. Originally in Arizona and he has had it up here since 2007.

Rust on the floor is from the wet carpets that were in there that he removed.

Going to look at it this week. Will post better pics of it before I decide to buy.

If I can save $ I am willing to drive and pick up a vehicle.

Just don't want to be taken advantage of since I am not by any means knowledgeable about older cars and costs associated with fixing them up.

Once again THANK YOU all for the input. Great community here.
