Getting ready to install new vent window handles on a '71. Is there an easy way to get the tiny barrel pin out of the handle to remove them? Any tips on installing the new handles? Let me know.
Thanks,
Blue71

Soak the pins with some PB blaster or other penatrating oil and use a pin punch that is slightly smaller than the barrel pin (Make sure the punch contacts the whole barrel and don't spread the center). 99% of the time you can get them out this way. If not you may have to drill.

I have used a nail that I've ground the end flat for this small a punch. Pretty much a one-time use, but it's got the job done when I've needed it.
