Intermittent Wiper Switch going bad ?

On a recent trip during snow storm my wipers would quit working and then after a few minutes they would resume working. This continued off and on for quite a while.

I suspect my intermittent wiper switch (from the junkyard) is getting old and tired.

Is it more likely the switch itself or whatever magic is in the plastic module ?

My junkyard intermittent switch lasted about 2 years. I replaced it with an aftermarket one from one of the vendors. It works way better than the junkyard one ever did - but it has a " sequence " you have to go through to get the speed or delay you want .

My experience is that it's usually the switch.
