So is this a true rumor? Detroit electrac for a ford 9' coming 1/05?

Does anyone have the inside scoop?

Now That's exciting news. I would like to put one on my 69.

I'm just scratching my head wondering how they plan on mouting it. I imagine they will have to mount the accuator somewhere on the third member, because when you look at the dana 60's, they are mounted on the diff cover, but we don't have diff covers.

Just curious.

Will be saving my money up for 1/05

Supposedly they were working on a way to install the actuator inside the D-44. It looks to me that they have it figured out to contain the unit inside. I was told this when I bought mine a few months ago. I was going to wait until the new design came out but they said the new unit could be retro fit. I will curious to see the new unit... ;D
