Is there any way to replace just the horn contacts on a turn signal switch?

I've got a good turn signal switch in my '73, but the horn contacts are totally worn out. Is there any way to replace the copper contacts, or am I stuck buying a whole new switch?

I think I've read here where someone has done it themselves, but I don't believe they were using off-the-shelf parts. Pretty sure they had to fab up the copper bits, but it seemed to work.
Might have been here or on broncofix.

The worn contact dilemma is a good reason to convert to horn relays on all earlier EB's in my opinion. Even with using an appropriate lubricant, they are under a lot of stress with the electric current and arcing.

Good luck. Obviously you know (I know you know...) that new ones come with a new turn signal switch. So I'm guessing you're just trying to avoid spending another $40 bucks for two tiny little copper buttons? ;D
Sounds reasonable to me.

Is that a replacement switch already, or an original?

Exactly, trying to avoid paying $40 just because of the contacts.

It looks more like an aftermarket switch than the original FoMoCo one. I know someone has been through the column before because there were pieces missing from it that I had to replace, so it wouldn't surprise me if the signal switch was replaced at some point.

I am also trying to get my horn working correctly, what if any lubricant that Paul mentioned can you use on the contacts?
