item 153 on todays glitch list: oil pump pickup tube?

So I pulled the pan to replace rear main seal, and during inspection I see my pickup tube bracket is broken right at the bend where it bolts on at the pickup side, not the pump side. Nobody in town has a pickup tube, would it be OK if I welded the bracket back together or do I have to wait to order a replacement?

Weld it. Should be no problem at all. If you stick weld it just make sure you clean all the slag off.

I ended up welding it. It was good and strong, so I figure it should all be good. She's back together now.
