Leaf vs 4 link

Newbie so if I'm not posting in correct location, I apologize.

I have been researching for some time re: new leafs vs 4 link, (rear), but I'm confused as ever. My project 71 has tired suspension all the way around so I'm trying to decide on new leafs or use that money towards 4 link. I'm not looking for articulation or long travel. I just want to do some light offroading and street driving without getting my teeth rattled. Lets face it guys/gals, our beloved Broncos ride much like a fully loaded cement truck. Now that the Duff and PolyPerformance set ups have been out for awhile, any feedback? I've been told that for my needs, a new set of progressive leafs is going to be as good as 4 link. And a lot less work/money. Again, I don't expect my pony to ride like a trophy truck but, on the street and light offroad, will a 4 link be worth the time/money over good leafs? Thanks to all.

I would have to say no on the four link..... if think that unless you are a fab wizard you should steer clear of trying to build one yourself..... and the kits for that are pretty expensive.....

For the street and mild 4 wheeling a good set of leafs (BCB, WH, or JBG) will be a big improvement. That is if you are only talking 3.5 of lift if you are going more it may not be a big change. The more arc in a leaf usually the stiffer the ride. 4 link will be a lot more work and about 3 times the cost, so you may not get the dollar to ride investment for street / light trail use.

I LOVE my WH 11 pack - I've got no rear shocks and it rides smoother then any other trail rig I've ever been in. The first thing people say when they go for a ride is that it rides like a Cadillac.

The flex good too :)
