LED bulbs question (centech harness)

I am installing a centech harness and I would like to use LED bulbs in the gauge cluster. The centech harness bulb sockets are different from the stock Bronco ones.
My questions are:
Can I run LED bulbs in the centech style sockets or do I need to use my factory style sockets?

Is there any mods needed to run LED bulbs in the cluster or are they just plug and play?

Thanks in advance!

I did sorta’ the same thing. I put the Centech harness into my ride, along with a Dakota Digital gauge. I used the dash lights pigtails to light my dash switches which are LED and they worked fine with no special modifications.

Just match the LED bulbs to whatever the Centech sockets need and you're done.
I thought the only difference in them was that they had their own ground wires, so were not depending on the cluster ground to light up. If they are different, they're still a common bulb.

You will likely lose the dimming function of the normal headlight switch rheostat, but otherwise there should be no technical glitches to keep you from using LED's with your new harness.

Sorry I don't know the designations for the different bulb bases, so can't tell you for sure what bulbs to use by part number. But you'll get it. They're not some odd setup.

Thanks Paul! I started another thread because I wasn't getting a response to the second part of my problem. I see you answered me on both threads. I appreciate the responses and the info. I will head to the parts house tomorrow and see what is available. You are Awesome Sir!
Have a good one!
