Mustang Monthly installed these on a '66 Mustang recently. I bet that most of the mechanics are the same... only real problem they seem to have had are some minor clearancing issues. Seem pretty cool, but still a bit expensive for my blood.

Sounds like a cool product. LED should definitely be more durable than
a standard filament light. Does the manufacturer publish any actual data
on light output (lumens) so they can actually be compared to various
wattage halogen light output?

These were discussed in another Italian forum. Basically there is no real advantage other than coolness factor. Even the current draw is not significanly less, which is not an issue with Broncos anyway, and the brightness is not significantly more.

I did a little searching and couldn't find anyone currently listing a
price in that ballpark. I saw one website claiming list price of
$863 each, and street pricing in range of $299-$366 each. ouch!

I still haven't found any actual technical details on light output.
Just the marketing spiel similar to the blue tint bulbs about
"5000K color temperature" == "more like natural sunlight"...
I downloaded the "2010 New Products" off the website

and I did find one LED-based product that listed actual light
output. 81 Series LED Lamps has 8 LEDs and 4" reflector to
put out 460lumens in 'spot' mode and 400lumens in 'work'/'flood'
modes. But I'm not sure how to translate that to the 10LEDs
and 7" relector of the 27250C headlights to guesstimate their
performance.

Anyways sounds interesting, with price drop over time they
could become a an option for more durable replacement for
basic halogen H4 lights.

i went standard sealed beam silverstars (not even went upgraded headlight harness) and i got WAY WAY more lighting than i thought i would- even better than my 99 ranger.

units are a bit pricey for a sealed unit- but DEFINITELY worth it. i got mine at Pep Boys.

I was looking into the JW Speaker 8700 series like they used on the Icon Bronco.
The Chrome Shop (www.chromejunkies.com) sells them for $390.00 each- Maybe next year....
