Lift gate rattles horrible

Put new rods handle assembly an foam inside but still makes alot of noise on bumps

A couple of things helped make mine rattle free. Make sure you have good weatherstripping to provide some outward pressure. Adjust the catches on the sides so they apply slight inward pressure on the liftgate when closed.

The big thing for me was getting the handle setup the right way. I shimmed it in the latch assembly to might sure it was tight. It is horizontal when latched and has spring pressure on it. If I turn it counterclockwise it springs to vertical. Then turning clockwise it has spring resistance until horizontal. Don't know if this spring tension is correct but it sure stopped my rattles.

My supports did not rattle but I replaced them with struts anyway.
