Lift gate "T" handle.

Good morning everyone. I have to replace the handle on my lift gate but I seem to have a rare handle. I have a "T" handle as opposed to the handle that is one sided. I have looked everywhere but no one seems to have a replacement one. I did some research online and apparently the first generation Broncos had these type of handles. Does anyone know where I can get one. I have tried Toms Offroad, Dennis Carpenter and Wild Horses but no one has heard of this type of handle of the first generation Broncos. I would enclose a picture but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Thank you for the guidance. The trouble is the internet says the earlier Broncos had the "T" handle. Guess you can't believe everything that the internet puts out.

Not if you're reading the commonly incorrect AI summary. Considering not a single one of the parts suppliers for the Early Bronco claims this, it's pretty simple to debunk.

A hardtops for the CJ5 and Jeepsters used this type of handle for the lift gate I did not ever own a CJ7 or later year jeep, but I would bet that they also used that type of handle. Check out the Jeep sites.
