Lining up the projects......My new to me Bronco

I got another Bronco on Saturday. It's a '76 Sport with a 302, 3 speed with 4:10 gears. It has the power brakes and steering.

It has some rust issues, but I'm willing to fix her. My plans are for a body off build into a street rig, possibly for a daily driver. Plan to paint it red again, full top and flares white, full cage, 302 or 5.0 with EFI. I will try the 3 speed for a while, if it's not suitable (gas mileage), I'll look into a ZF. I'll probably buy a smaller lift kit for it, as it's a bit too tall for my liking at the moment.

Of course, we still have Dad's '73 project going on, so it's the priority right now. After it's done, I may do a few things to my blue Bronco before starting in on the red one completely. Looks like we are going to be offering plenty of entertainment to this site for a while!

Looks like you need a white one now so you can have a patriotic set of Broncos.
Where did you find this one?

I like the look of the 35 x 14.50's.

That thing looks customized 6 ways from Sunday, no telling what genius ideas you'll find.

I do like the red!

This one came from Whitwell, Tennessee. The same guy also had a '74 Explorer that Dad got for a parts rig and a bunch of extra parts as well. I do kinda want a white one too. :D

Funny thing, I've wanted a red one for a long time, and I've wanted one with a manual transmission for a while. So I got both in one package.

barronj, those are actually 15x39's. They don't look as big in the pictures, but they are huge! They have to go though, I'm not a big fan of them or the wheels. I'll probably run 33's or 35's.

Here are a couple pics I took today. I washed it the other day because it needed it desperately! It still doesn't look that great, but I guess I needed to represent it better.

As of now, I have something else going on that weekend. But, things could change, or I could skip out. ;D

Thanks for all the compliments. The paint is beyond buffing. Some of the Hot Ginger Poly is showing back up. :p

It has 4:10's in it. Those tires are still quite a pull on it though. I'm already thinking we have more than we can work on.

The blue dots will not be staying. ;D

By the way, here is the '74 that came in the deal. There was also 2 front ends, 2 rear ends, 2 transmissions and transfers, extra hard top, and lots of other odds and ends. The '74 has a 302 that is bad, and a C4. It's super rusty, but it has some good parts. It was rolled hard in the past, and it was fixed back for a hunting rig. The front clip minus hood came off of a '70-'71 Sport, so there is a Sport grille we hopefully can use on Miracle! Also, I may use the hood and tailgate on the red '76!

True to both statements.

Ok, I'll fess up, we hauled 3 home this past weekend. Dad also bought this '77 Special Decor off of eBay. Not much of it left. We mainly wanted the Disc brake D44 for an extra, and there were some other parts included in the sale. Its pretty rusty too. It was in Sale Creek, Tennessee. The Powerstroke crossed the Bama line three times hauling Bronco stuff! :D

The guy he bought it from also included a new set of valve covers, some dash wiring, a radiator that was rodded out and cleaned, and some other good parts for a little more money. So it was actually a good buy.

The rear tub is pretty rusty on it though. The tailgate is rusty in the center, even though it looks good in the pics. Body wise it's not so great, but it'll do for a donor! :)
