I heard about this place a couple of years ago but finally checked it out.

Has anyone been here? Sounds like it could be an awesome place to get a bunch of bronco guys together. Close to the Omaha area and only about an hour and a half for me. You need a membership and i'm not sure what that costs yet but i've sent the email to find out.

Anyone been out there? Looks like they've got camping fishing etc..

I added the Omaha/nebraska to the title cause I've seen alot of people on the boards from the area Thought this would be a short trip for them too!

I found out that it is 500 bucks for a year membership. As far as I can tell that means you get free camping every time and can go as much as you want. Considering some places around here get 25 bucks a night for a campspot this isn't bad at all!

This response is pretty late but in case anyone is looking for somewhere to play, my boyfriend and I have taken his jeep to Bartlett, IA which is about 45 minutes South/East of Omaha (I think... I'm bad with directions!). It's pretty fun after a good rain. Not nearly as big as Timber Ranch but it's alot cheaper (free - public land).
We've also been to Chadwick (near Springfield, MO). He grew up down there so every year they have a guys only camping and 4-wheeling trip. He took me there once and we had a blast. It was my very first 4-wheeling trip - now I cannot wait to get the Bronco down there for it's "christening"! They're both good places to play if you're around there at all. Just FYI! ;D

My brother lives in Omaha and a buddy was actually talking of a place south of there that people went, but was unsure of the name.. I'm most definately planning on taking it somewhere this summer though.. Sick of climing the dirt hills out back ;D Is there camping/fishing nearby?

The Timber Ridge Ranch near Castana , Iowa is a privately owned facility that has nearly 3000 acres and 80 miles of trails . There are absolutely no rocks there but the trails are as easy or difficult as you will find anywhere . I have been there several times and I will be going there for the 4th Of July for the MidWest 4 Wheel Drive Association fundraiser . If you have never been there , it is worth it and if you can't find a trail to suit your needs ...follow me ;D I think it would be great to get a bunch of broncos out there ... there usually are quite a few ... after all , the bronco is simply the best darned trail rig ever built and naturally attracts all of the non "sheeple" . ;D

Man I would love to! I emailed them about the membership but never heard back. They said that they would notify me if they had an opening. They don't allow day passes there though do they?

No , but they do have two annual events ... 1 is in July and the other in September . You can attend on those days for an admission fee to the appropriate fundraiser and have a blast

I know in Chadwick there is camping wherever you find a spot. But I don't think there's fishing. Bartlett you can camp but it sucks and you'd be fishing the Missouri River. Depends what you'd rather have.... camping or fishing. I would rather go to Chadwick but Bartlett is good and close for a day trip.
